According to Australian recommendations, it is best to introduce your infant to iron-rich foods at around 6 months of age, when your baby is showing signs of readiness to eat. This includes iron-fortified infant cereals (e.g. CERELAC), puréed meats, poultry and fish, or cooked tofu and legumes.
