By Marika Day. These blw porridge fingers have all the goodness of oats without the mess. With fibre from prunes, chia seeds, and oats, they help with digestion and are perfect for little hands to hold. Serve cooled and always supervise during meals.

Ingredients for Prune Chia Porridge Fingers

½ cup quick oats

1 tsp chia seeds

5 pitted prunes, finely chopped

½ cup milk (breast, full cream cow’s milk or formula)

Method for Prune Chia Porridge Fingers

    1. In a small microwave-safe container (we used a 14cm x 10 cm container), combine the oats, chia seeds, prunes, and milk. Stir to mix evenly and press the mixture flat with the back of a spoon.
    2. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, or until firm.
    3. Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then slice into strips for easy self-feeding.
