Step by step

  • Tofu Nuggets Recipe

    1. Preheat oven to 220°C /200°C fan forced. Grease and line a baking tray with baking paper.
    2. Remove the tofu from the package and place onto a paper towel-lined plate or chopping board. Top with a second towel and a second plate or chopping board. Let sit for at least 30 minutes and up to 2 hours (this will absorb extra moisture). Meanwhile in a shallow dish or pie plate, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder and NAN Toddler Milk Drink powder; set aside.
    3. Cut tofu into 1.5cm thick slices, then cut slices into 2cm x 4cm long pieces. Break the egg into another shallow dish and beat lightly, dredge the tofu cubes in egg, then the panko mixture, and place on the prepared tray. Spray lightly with nonstick spray.
    4. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until completely cooked through and lightly golden brown. Alternatively, cook nuggets in an air fryer at 180°C for 13-15 minutes. Serve with Greek yoghurt as a dipping sauce.
